FSIP administers federal and state grants and contracts, and private foundation grants for over 5,000 Pueblo Indians of Cochiti, Jemez, Sandia, Santa Ana, and Zia. Many services are provided to other area Pueblos as needed. Programs are administered in four general areas: 1) health services, 2) human services, 3) job services, and 4) education.
Our Mission
The mission of Five Sandoval Indian Pueblos, Inc., (FSIP) is to strengthen and improve the social and economic status of its member tribes.
Toward this mission, FSIP plans, develops, and manages an array of human and economic development services that benefit both individual tribal members and tribal economies in accordance with generally accepted audit procedures for federal and state programs.
Services are provided in such a manner that the values of tribal sovereignty, traditional culture, and community integrity are respected and preserved.
Five Sandoval Indian Pueblos, Inc., (FSIP) is a community based New Mexico non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation. The Organization was founded in 1966 and incorporated in 1973. Central Offices are located on the Santa Ana Pueblo, north of the town of Bernalillo, New Mexico, on SR 313.
The eight-member Governing Board consists of the Governors of the five Pueblos with three Governor-elected persons serving as the Board Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary-Treasurer. The staff of FSIP averages around 65 individuals. Native Americans comprise 95% of all positions.
